Before you begin #
- You need permission to edit the destination inventory.
- Back up important data before a large migration.
Export from RailModeller Pro #
For Stock, choose File, then Manage Stock, and use the Stock export control.
For a layout Part List, open the Part List and choose Export. Include a header row. TIM accepts comma, semicolon, and tab separators.
Preview in TIM #
- Open the destination inventory.
- Choose Import & Export.
- Find JMRI and RailModeller Pro interoperability.
- Under RailModeller Pro Stock and Part List, choose the CSV file.
- Select Preview RailModeller CSV.
- Confirm the detected column mapping.
- Review every product, exact library name, quantity, duplicate match, warning, and proposed action.
- Apply the import only after the preview is correct.
Stock field mapping #
- Product Number becomes Model Number.
- Library becomes RailModeller Pro library.
- Count becomes Quantity.
- If Stock has no description, TIM builds an item name from Library and Product Number.
Common Part List mapping #
- Description becomes Item Name.
- Article Number or Product Number becomes Model Number.
- Brand or Manufacturer becomes Manufacturer.
- Count becomes Quantity.
- Element Type or Type becomes Category.
A Part List describes what a layout uses, which may differ from what you own. Verify quantities carefully before applying it.
