AI output is a proposal, not a verified product record.
On the review screen #
- Compare the suggested item name, manufacturer, model number, barcode, scale, gauge, railroad, road number, category, and other fields with the physical item and packaging.
- Read confidence and warnings instead of relying only on the top candidate.
- Check whether each value came from AI analysis, Product Catalog evidence, or another identified source.
- Expand Ranked Product Catalog candidates when more than one product may match.
- Verify distinctive identifiers such as model number, barcode, road number, and product label before accepting a catalog link.
- Edit or clear any uncertain value.
When the catalog match is unique #
My-Trains AI may use the verified catalog record to fill missing manufacturer or model data or to correct an uncertain scale estimate when stronger distinctive evidence supports that result.
When the result is ambiguous #
My-Trains AI keeps plausible alternate candidates but does not silently link one. Save a partial manual record or stop and gather a better photo rather than selecting an uncertain product.
Nothing enters Inventory until you choose Save reviewed item to TIM. After saving, confirm private ownership, quantity, condition, value, storage, and document details in the normal item record.
