Adding, inviting, changing, and removing club members

2 min read

Club Managers maintain access from Club Administration inside the selected club inventory. The page shows only that club's Primary Club Manager, members, requests, and invitations.

Add an existing TIM user #

  1. Open the club inventory.
  2. Open Club Administration.
  3. Find Add a registered member or send an invitation.
  4. Enter the person's site username or registered email address.
  5. Choose Viewer, Editor, or Manager.
  6. Select Add or invite member.

An existing user is assigned immediately and receives a TIM club-access email. Their site-level TIM Status still applies. A Pending or Suspended user cannot open the inventory even though the club assignment exists.

Invite someone who has not registered #

Enter the person's email address and choose the intended club role. TIM sends a secure registration invitation that expires after 14 days. The invitee must register with the same email address that received the invitation. A valid invitation is accepted only once.

The invitation establishes the club assignment, but it does not skip site approval. After registration, the account may remain Pending approval until a site administrator reviews it.

Change a member's access #

Enter the member's username or email again, choose the new Viewer, Editor, or Manager role, and submit the form. TIM replaces the club assignment and emails the member about the change.

Remove access #

Enter the member's username or email, choose Remove access, and submit the form. TIM removes access to that club inventory and emails the member. Removing club access does not delete the person's TIM account, personal inventory, or historical activity.

Use least privilege #

  • Viewer is appropriate for members who only need to search, review, or reference the shared collection.
  • Editor is appropriate for members trusted to create and update club records.
  • Manager is appropriate only for people who should approve membership requests, invite members, change roles, and administer club settings.

Club Administration is the authoritative place for access to a specific club inventory. It also shows whether a member's TIM account is ready, Pending approval, or Suspended; only a site administrator can change that site-level state.
