Troubleshoot TIM Operations

An item is missing from the waybill picker #

  • The item must be currently owned rolling stock.
  • Electronics, track, structures, wishlist records, and other ineligible categories do not appear.
  • Confirm that the item belongs to the selected inventory.

An item is missing from a train or job card #

The picker includes currently owned locomotives, multiple units, and rolling stock. Confirm category and ownership status.

A car already has an active waybill #

One car can have only one live routing instruction. Deliver the existing waybill before assigning another, or correct the existing record.

A setup action is unavailable #

  • Add a location before adding its track.
  • Add a track and eligible owned rolling stock before creating a waybill.
  • Add eligible equipment before creating a train or job card.
  • Save trains and waybills before selecting them in a session.

A track is over capacity #

Compare the recorded occupancy with the car-spot capacity. Move cars, correct item track assignments, or correct the track capacity. Also check accepted-car and numbered-spot rules before creating the session packet.

A record cannot be deleted #

TIM blocks deletion when tracks, cars, waybills, or sessions still depend on that record. Edit or remove the dependent records first. Records that can be removed use recoverable Trash rather than immediate permanent deletion.

The digital status does not match the layout #

Physical cards remain authoritative. Update an individual waybill's optional TIM status or use Complete & reconcile after a session. Held cars are intentionally left unchanged.
