Storage labels connect physical rooms, cabinets, shelves, drawers, boxes, bins, and cases to TIM.
Create the storage hierarchy #
- Open the inventory and choose Storage.
- Add each location from the outside in. For example, create Train Room, then Cabinet A inside Train Room, then Box 4 inside Cabinet A.
- Assign items to the appropriate structured storage location.
Create and apply labels #
- Choose Download storage QR labels on the Storage page, or open Reports and use Storage QR labels.
- Print the PDF at Actual Size or 100 percent.
- Cut out and attach each label to the matching physical location.
- Scan a sample with the device camera.
- Sign in if prompted and confirm that the expected storage page and item list open.
Moving or renaming a storage record in TIM does not require a new label. Deleting the storage record invalidates its old code.
The item list shows items assigned directly to that location. An item assigned to a child box is listed on the child box rather than on every parent shelf or room.
