Train Inventory Manager can exchange locomotive roster information with JMRI.
Supported workflows #
- Import one JMRI roster-entry XML file into TIM.
- Import a complete JMRI `.roster` package into TIM.
- Export currently owned TIM locomotives and DCC-addressed items as a JMRI complete-roster package.
Information TIM exchanges #
- Roster ID
- Road name and road number
- Manufacturer and model
- DCC address
- Decoder family and model
- Comments and TIM notes
Information TIM does not exchange #
TIM does not reproduce decoder CV values, speed tables, function programming, consisting details, programmer settings, layout panels, or track geometry. Keep JMRI as the authoritative source for decoder programming.
Where to find the tools #
Open the TIM inventory, choose Import & Export, and find JMRI and RailModeller Pro interoperability. Import & Export is visible only to a user who can edit that inventory.
JMRI is a third-party application and is not produced or supported by My-Trains.
